"The idea of the original is generally overrated. The original is a chimera. An artistic achievement lies in the expression of the effect it has on a society. This effect is not negotiable. There are paintings that change the world such as Picasso's Guernica and others that serve as living room decorations.
The fact that a picture is an original says nothing at all. Making an original is the easiest thing in the world.
It is much more difficult, for example, to repeat the complexity of a painting process, that is, to create an identical picture."
