ABOUT ANDY WARHOL

Andy Warhol (1928-1987) is an icon of Pop Art.
He is not only regarded as one of its most important representatives, but also as a co-founder of this art movement in America. He began his career as a graphic designer and illustrator for fashion magazines in the 1950s. He quickly became one of the most dazzling personalities of the New York creative scene and founded his famous "Factory" in 1962. There he experimented with various forms of artistic expression, but screen printing became his preferred medium, which allowed him to produce art in series and make it accessible to a wider audience.
