"Der Konstanzer" is the exact miniature version of the original-size concrete Porsche 911 S, which was cast in 1971 and weighs 13.6 tons. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary now as a multiple in a handy edition of 911 pieces. The works with unique character come directly from the artist's studio. Gottfried Bechtold was born in 1947 in Bregenz, he lives and works in Bregenz and Hörbranz. For more than 50 years now, he has been essentially concerned with the expansion of the concept of art, especially in the field of sculpture. His artistic roots lie in the tradition of European and American art of the 1960s and 1970s. Since the late 1960s, he has moved away from traditional forms of design and presentation in an exploration of Land Art, Minimal and Conceptual Art.
